Tetra Pak Internship - Singapore

In September 2019, I started working at Tetra Pak in Singapore. It is a Multi-National Company. I was the Learning and Development HR intern. I was given the responsibility to organize trainings for employees and communicating with them in countries such as India, China, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand. I also supported the Regional L&D team in other HR-related ad hoc duties/projects when it was required. I drafted multiple Standard Operating Procedures to support the delivery of operational excellence through training and developing related topics and so that in the future, HR interns could follow a set procedure. I learned how to use the SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System and was able to input training records into the database. I coordinated and collaborated with the Marketing department with packaging and shipping products and for training sessions, workshops, and sourcing resources for specialized trainings for employees. I was able to exercise strong independence to fulfill timelines, developed organizational skills, and communication skills. I learned how to be adaptable and more understanding. I was glad I had the opportunity to work in the HR department because I didn't know what field I wanted to work in and it’s the field I really want to pursue!
