Talent Management Internship - Learnlight

I was headhunted and lucky to be offered a position as a Talent Management intern at the company Learnlight. While being in the HR department, I was one of the first interns who started an internship virtually in this company where my advisor mentioned that I made history in the company. I liaised with other team members from different parts of the world. They were from Greece, Ohio, and New Zealand. I learned about their work style and how they do things differently as well as learning on how to manage time better as we all were in different time zones.

On a weekly basis, I would keep checking whether I achieved all my goals and completed all the tasks I would need to for the week. This department was created just a couple of months before I joined. My mentor gave me the responsibility of all the tasks that needed to be completed and to divide it among my team members and me. Completing this experience gave me a clearer picture of whether I want to pursue in the Talent Department. I realized that as much as I liked it, I would still stick to the Recruitment department. I also understood that I prefer a mix of virtual and in-person, as I worked completely virtually, and I did lose motivation sometimes, but I was also working at my convenience and comfort and I really liked that. Working in person helps me to interact, network, and learn from people so I would like that too. Through this internship, I learned how to communicate professionally via email and Teams meeting calls on a daily basis.
